Kindergarten field trip to beautiful Carter's Mountain

Baby Olivia is here....#5!

The Colquitt's visited from MI Halloween week.  Margaret and Lucy don't remember each other, but were FAST friends and so sad to leave each other.

My kick-ass red-neck.

They always love passing out candy as much as trick or treating themselves.

"Hmmm....."

Montepelier Races---year 2!

Always a fun crew:)

We were lucky enough to babysit Olivia and my boys were all obsessed!

What a great race the Richmond half-marathon was....something like 20,000 people including runners, volunteers, and spectators, but a very well run event.

Michael's hand made planters---two 6' long for the new deck.  They will provide excellent privacy next summer!

Margaret asked if she could play basketball this winter 2 days before the assessment.  As much time as we've spent in the driveway playing with the boys, she has never expressed any interest....and the video shows----we have plenty to work on!

Sleepover!

UVA women's basketball game was a hit, but the highlight?  Scoring a free pizza after impressing upon them that we were NOT going to buy any food at the game.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Videos throughout...view in a web browser to open correctly.

Andrew and half of Albemarle County enjoyed a field trip to a UVA Women's basketball game, complete with pre-game activities for hours!

  Let the fry begin!

Thanksgiving brunch with a few church friends.

BB guns in the Meadow - gotta teach 'em young!

Meanwhile, back at the house....fryers have come a long way since the gas leaking one we borrowed in Denver one holiday.

 Time for our tree!

Margaret getting a kick out of my flu shot...

Frank Beamer's last regular season game after an impressive 29 years of coaching VT.  Scored great seats and an amazing parking pass from neighbors!

Friends for 25 years, Celeste and I were finally able to get our entire families together, if only for 10 minutes.

And the deal is done!  Well done, Hokies.

My favorite part of Christmas....helping little ones in awe decorate.

Lalu's thoughtful, handmade ornaments for the kids from over the years.
She finally let me put a bow in her hair the morning they were singing at church and congregation caroling at a retirement home after service...
"Emmanual, Emmanuel.  God is with us, Emmanual."

With just 3 days notice, we managed to have a good turn out for caroling after service!  The lounge was filled with singing residents by the time we finished...a moving experience, no doubt.

  Round 2

He said it was more comfortable to sleep on his clothes...ALL of his clothes.  I was not amused.
A visit to the office meant hugs from Mary Spencer, 94!
Nothing about getting pink eye drops in a 2-yr-old twice a day for 10 days, but if bell pepper works as a bribe, then so be it!
Steep Canyon Rangers (Steve Martin's band)

Our first duet in church---Away in a Manger---Andrew said it was really fun and wanted to play the First Noel the next week:)  He did not get his stage presence from his Mother.
She wailed and wailed that she didn't need a nap...

Another great school-wide morning meeting at Woodbrook.
 Parent day at preschool!
 "Merry Christmas, Cabell!"

Another great experience at Bethlehem Village.

 We should be in Colorado.
