I hope they always feel like the super-heros they are to me!

The Harry Potter 4-D Puzzle was the Christmas hit!  So many special hours sent singing, talking, listening to music and putting together these layers.

Layer #1 complete!

Layer #2

Voila!  Layer upon layer assembled all of the houses put together.
Hogwarts

 TOO many uses for goo!
Thanks for my first strapless dress, Lily!

A beautiful Narnian snow.

Ms. Bekah's staying with us before heading back to Hungary.  What a delightful couple!

Just kind of cool having the piano tuned.
Memories keep popping up....

I pray that they will always beg for more time together...countless sleepovers...for the days to bleed into nights and never end.

The infamous 3rd-5th grade spelling bee!  Still a little raw to put the details here.
Morning message for the whole school - we've got public speaking down!

Happy 6th Birthday, Little Man!

I've never been shy about my hesitation to have Matthew, but oh, my!  What immense joy he has brought us!  In spite of the abundance of sleepless nights and occasional clever (yet challenging) behavior that we never could have predicted, this kid provides killer smiles, hugs and words to melt you, and keeps us rolling on the floor.  So very grateful.

Birthday parties at school are the best!

Daddy made it home from Arlington!

Margaret decided that opening present demanded an intro---any excuse to dance, sing or do cartwheels:-)

Just a LITTLE bit excited that he's finally old enough for Triple C camp this summer!

Scavenger Hunt for the last unwrapped present but the best (unfilmed squeals of delight and glea for the Lightening McQueen Car Wash) present had already been discovered yet undocumented.

Just good timing, Lalu and Big Rob got a tour of the Car Wash...
Note:  This should not be an indoor toy!

Time to party!!!  After attending one last fall, Matthew begged for a martial arts party.  Gotta say, these guys were exceptionally good with the kiddos.

Dodge the Noodle 2

Black belt for the day!

 Just a wee bit excited:-)

Jump the River Grand Finale

Happy Birthday!

Samari Sword Cake Cutting

This will be a pretty cute picture if Matthew and Ella end up sharing cake together again some day:-)
Presley slept over and these boys worked on Star Wars Legos for HOURS (while also cheering on our buddy Jay Huff, but enjoying watching Duke beat UVA).

We've had a lot of them by now, but birthdays are still fun.  They are always important.  And we should always be delighted to celebrate, no matter the number.
