Dear Ms. Maggie at church taught all three of our kiddos in the 4-5 Sunday School class before retiring. Hmmm, coincidence?? She sent some pictures that she recently retrieved from her phone...
Margaret and one of her "besties", Colleen, won "Principal for a Day" in a recent raffle. Mrs. Williams was nothing short of amazing and kept the 4th grade duo with her ALL DAY LONG! She kept them occupied and engaged and fulfilling their dream....both girls wanted to attend a "Budget Meeting", so she made it happen. Neither girl has any interest in budgets any longer:-)
Flashback to Matthew's first birthday pics with Jenn.
This boy and his binkies...he always had a spare on hand.
A nice way to finish a morning run...
Firehouse adventure, while on the adventure to figure out what in the world was going on with our fire detectors. Did you know that the devices themselves expire?? Sensors stop working due to dust built up, bugs, paint particles, etc. Changing nine hard-wired detectors is no fun at all, I will tell you that.
Andrew was actually excited to spend all day at a Math Competition with the High School Math Club and MESA Program participants. The County has an impressive facility here and he loved his full Saturday there!
Andrew got "Mac" from Cars for his 3rd birthday. For the longest time, he'd sleep with Mac after meticulously stacking two rows inside and one row on top "just so". There was a method. Maybe a color scheme. I don't know. But it was remarkably deliberate and clearly the first thing he wanted to see each morning.
These two---it started when she was 2 and hasn't let up since:-)
It was the cutest wet suit you've ever seen!
Andrew was all smiles in Denver...still is:-)
Her first Hokie game on her 1st birthday.
Every little girl's first birthday wish, right?!?
Finally proudly toothless!
These two will play endlessly - matters not if his head is the toy.
What a treat - all four of us!
The train table has rarely been used for years, except as a dumping ground for other toys. We'd clean it up and the inevitable would happen again. Over Christmas, we did a huge purge of that room and Matthew agreed it was time to sell. Finally found a new home for it and he was crushed! Why, oh, why?!? And then I was crushed that this beat up wood that provided a decade of memories was about to exit the premises:-(
And then...
We both got over it and life marched on.
Yikes! How did Mom allow this?!?
