Pre-K Graduation Practice

Margaret's last day of school '13.  She has loved every minute of it!

Andrew is SO excited about the graduation ceremony tomorrow that he's been practicing in his room during quiet time.  Then he comes downstairs for "independent time" and just wants to write notes to his teachers.  He dictates to me, I write it down, and he then copies his own words.  He's been delighted to take the notes to Mrs. Moon and Mrs. Balcell's all week.  He truly has a thoughtful heart.

It has been an amazing year for him.  He has LOVED learning, has adored the crew in his class, and is terribly fond of Mrs. Moon and Mrs. Balcell's.  We couldn't have asked for anything more this year and our hearts sing for that.  Andrew is awfully excited about Kindergarten, but I wonder what he comprehends.  He's elated about summer (especially since we're off to the beach next week), but I don't think he realizes that means he won't see his buddies every day.  Growing up is hard, but we'll leave that part out.  For now, I pray and pray that Kindergarten is a good experience for him.  My anxiety level is growing, which I did not expect.  First Pres has been such a wonderful, enriching place for him where he's been surrounded by Christians and faith-based curriculum.  I pray the loss of innocence that is inevitable with the jump to Kindergarten is a transition we can all navigate smoothly in a few short months.

2 songs for the big celebration tomorrow...
