10 years and counting...in Charleston

We celebrated 10 non-stop years in beautiful Charleston.  Having not been since a 4th grade fieldtrip, I was excited about the beauty, charm, FOOD, and adult-only company.  Many thanks to Susan for holding down the fort and a plethora of wonderful friends and babysitters that made our few days away for the first time in years such a relaxing, soul-refreshing time.

Pictures are all out of order, but who has time to rearrange??  Actually seems fitting for how jumbled life has become 10 years and 3 kids down the road!

A run downtown and through the Battery - a great pace for seeing the streets of Charleston and wonderful, historic homes.  (I have a gut that I didn't 10 years ago, but I wouldn't trade Little Man for it:)

He knows me so well!  What a fun surprise this was!  We had a selection of about 30-40 guns, got to shoot things I'd never heard of, and both agreed that the semi-automatic was pretty amazing.  Quite frightening, though, for reasons that need no explanation.

A morning at The Sanctuary in Kiawah will do ANY soul a world of good.

The Palm Hotel, maybe?  Just cutting through during an afternoon storm good enough to remind you that you are at (and sometimes below) sea level in Charleston.
